About me
Aaron is a public policy enthusiast, technology & innovation strategist. His professional interest centers on issues relating to digital policy and management of emerging technologies. Currently, Aaron conducts research on internet governance problems such as internet fragmentation, telecommunication shutdowns and the use of artificial intelligence at the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge, HSE University, Moscow. He has 4 years experience designing and managing innovative digital development projects and technologies for education management; as well as skill development solutions for young people at-risk in vulnerable communities. Between 2021 and 2025, he led the overarching impact and growth strategy at the Illmi Children’s Fund (ICF) an education policy focused NGO based in Nigeria where he led monitoring and evaluating for development projects sponsored by INGOs like the UNFPA, MacArthur Foundation, World Bank, US Mission in Nigeria, Mastercard Foundation, etc. He effectively supported multi-year donor-funded projects, reaching over 100,000 beneficiaries across 11 states in Nigeria. Notably among them are AGILE project, Digitgirl’s project and TARM Project, with aim to promote access to digital skills and literacy for adolescent girls and female teachers in public secondary schools in Nigeria. He is a 2025 Fellow of the NextGen Program of the Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN); a member of the United Nations Internet Governance Forum’s Policy Network on Artificial Intelligence (PNAI); Global Youth Ambassador of the Internet Society (ISOC) to the 2024 United Nations’ Internet Governance Forum (IGF); member of the Youth Coalition on Internet Governance (YCIG); a Pan African Youth Ambassador for Internet Governance (PAYAIG) and a Fellow of the Nigeria School on Internet Governance. He won the 2024 Opendoors Olympiad Scholarship at HSE University, Moscow. He is an awardee of the 2024 Bicentenary Global Futures Africa Scholarship at the University of Manchester, UK. Finalist for the 2024 DAAD's Helmut-Schmidt-Programme at the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy, Germany. Additionally, he was a 2024 OMYV Fellow with the German Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Nigeria, 2024 Youth Delegate at the World Bank Group Youth Summit, 2024 Global Youth Ambassador for Theirworld and a 2024 Tech4Governance Fellow at Aspilos Foundation where he advocated for digital governance & developed his skills in leading social impact projects.
