Session Details
Organized by Noncommercial Stakeholder Group and the DNS Abuse working group at Contracted Party House, this session serves as an initial step in crafting guidelines for conducting Human Rights Impact Assessments (HRIAs) in the context of DNS Abuse mitigation. Building on insights from a prior discussion on the intersection of DNS Abuse mitigation and human rights, participants will delve into practical methods to balance security and fundamental freedoms. (Review the recording of the previous session here: https://tinyurl.com/338eub8t ) The session only focuses on nonbinding guidelines, addresses issues within the confines of DNS abuse and does not suggest policy work.
Participants will engage in interactive discussions, using real-world scenarios to identify challenges, starting points, and pathways forward. The session emphasizes collaboration, critical thinking, and shared expertise to develop guidelines that align DNS Abuse mitigation with human rights priorities.
